About Richard
Richard Young has been in the sales arena most of his life. He grew up in Stockton with his 9 siblings. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Berkeley in 1977. Richard started his real estate career in 1979. After 5 years working in the Real Estate business, Richard decided to open his own business in 1983. Richard ran a successful Video and Gift Store in Yreka for 20 years.
Richard then moved to Redding in 2001 to start a new chapter of his life. He was the Assistant Finance Manager for Redding Yamaha Seadoo from 2001 to 2006; Assistant Finance Manager for Shasta Nissan Subaru from 2006 to 2008; sold insurance for State Farm from 2008 to 2009.
In 2010 Richard went full circle and returned to his true love … real estate sales. He has professionally and humbly represented buyers and sellers in Shasta County for over 16 years and still active. Richard specializes in assisting seniors in residential sales and purchasing especially mobile home market.
